Rezultate preliminare ale unei analize integrate petrografice, chimice și a reziduurilor organice a ceramicii neolitice din Makhvilauri

În ultimii ani, s-au desfășurat cercetări arheologice și de laborator ample la siturile preistorice din sud-vestul Georgiei. Analiza integrată a datelor obținute prin cercetarea interdisciplinară a permis o înțelegere mai clară a activităților umane din antichitate, a tehnologiilor de prelucrare a pietrei, a condițiilor climatice, a modelelor de mobilitate, a cronologiei și a altor aspecte ale vieții preistorice. În cadrul ansamblului provenit din așezarea neolitică de la Makhvilauri, ceramica ocupă un loc important. Din perspectivă tipologică, bazele vaselor sunt deosebit de informative, deoarece păstrează în mod clar urme de utilizare. Prezentul studiu oferă prima analiză cuprinzătoare a ansamblului ceramic neolitic de la Makhvilauri, realizată în laboratoare din Georgia și din străinătate. Pentru această cercetare, au fost selectate două fragmente ceramice datate în mileniile VII-VI a.Chr. Cercetările au permis formularea mai multor concluzii preliminare importante, ce pun bazele unor cercetări viitoare care vor implica un număr mai mare de eșantioane ceramice.
