The universal and national values of eminescian creativity reflected in the national graphics from the Republic of Moldova

Abstract

In the context of declaring 2025 as the year dedicated to the celebration of Mihai Eminescu’s personality, we come to honor the great national poet through the prism of the artistic creation of the authors from the Republic of Moldova. The image and creativity of Mihai Eminescu have been reflected many times in various fields and genres of the arts. The creative activity of the great poet has inspired an impressive number of creators who created literary, musical and theatrical, cinematographic and plastic art. We find eminescian echoes in the creation of painters, sculptors and graphic artists, the latter manifesting a particular predilection confirmed by the impressive number of graphic works. With the objective of highlighting the universal and national values of the eminescian creativity, we will reflect the significance of these acquirements in making of Moldovan graphic artists. We follow the universe of eminescian creation in all spheres of social life, addressing the entire issue of human and universal existence. Thus, the artists combined the illustration of the eminescian creative activity with their own visions of the most beautiful manifestations of human spirituality.
