Abstract

Located in the picturesque region of Cuhureştii de Sus, the Bogdan family manor is a valuable piece in the mosaic of boyar residential architecture in northern Bessarabia. Built in the second half of the 19th century, this edifice combines the avant-garde tendencies of historicism with neoclassical influences, reflecting the aesthetic preferences of the rural elite at the turn of the century. Its significance lies not only in its architectural expression but also in the role it played in shaping the cultural and economic identity of the region. In a context marked by socio-political transformations and cultural exchanges, the Bogdan manor stands as a silent witness to the evolution of the Moldovan rural landscape. This study aims to explore the genesis, spatial configuration, and historical trajectory of this ensemble, thereby contributing to the recovery of its architectural memory and to its integration into the regional heritage discourse
