Abstract

The article proposes a retrospective of the activity of children’s and youth theater in the cultural space of the Republic of Moldova. From a diachronic perspective, the moments of the emergence of children’s theater, the repertoire, with references to bibliographical sources, to authors who investigated the evolution of children’s animation film and children’s theater, starting with the 50s of the 20th century, are highlighted. The information from these sources and current reality demonstrates the need for more extensive scientific research into children’s shows from an aesthetic, theatrical and psychopedagogical perspective; It is proposed to investigate the repertoire and artistic and aesthetic programs of various forms of theater for children and young audiences, which are currently active. A perspective for the development of this educational form and aesthetic communication is the children’s theater festival.
